Christmastime Is Here

Good morning ladies! Here we are eleven days from Christmas day, are you ready? Think about that for just a moment. I began to stress a bit yesterday when I realized I have a couple of gifts left to purchase and then I remembered what makes me ready for Christmas day. I am ready to celebrate the birth of my LORD. It doesn't matter if my shopping for everyone else is done, I am the gift to my LORD and He is the gift to me. Give your unsaved friends the gift of a lifetime, share your story of salvation with them. Tell them how and why your faith is important to you. It will be a gift that fits, will not be the wrong color, pattern or something they don't need.

I encourage you this Christmas season to "Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and SEND SOME TO THOSE WHO HAVE NOTHING PREPARED. his day is sacred to our LORD" Neh. 8:10

Ladies, we have an opportunity to participate in blessing the young girl from Ann Fromme's school. Ann has purchased and delivered the coat to her. Ann shared with me that the girl was thrilled and of course wanted to know who had provided the coat so that she could thank them. When it was suggested to her that she could write and thank you note and it would be delivered to those responsible for the coat she quickly left the room and ran to her teacher, who see has formed a very close bond with, to show her what she had received. In the thank you note she shared that she had a coat just like her favorite teachers, and ended with now she can be warm.

As Ann shared this with me I was moved because this is right here in our area. No child should have to worry about how they will stay warm, what they will have to eat and who will look after them. You can and do make a difference. Thank you to all who have donated already toward the coat, if you have not and still plan to please give your donations to Marilyn, Gail or Ann.
