It seems like summer has been long AND hot! Although summer is not officially over, for those with school children who have started back to a new school year, summer is unofficially over! No more lazy days, and if you walk into any store, you will be greeted with Fall decor everywhere! Crazy, I know. I must say that it makes me feel sad to walk through the stores and have NO excuse to by school supplies! Kelsey reminded me that she had several moms spend $80.00 for those cute supplies at Walgreens, so I wasn't so sad anymore. Geez, whatever happened to the required #2 pencils and a few notebooks?
Marilyn and I met this morning to plan for our Fall schedule and for 2013 (did I just say that?!!), and our church-wide focus on prayer. We are both excited for the studies God led us to, and we cannot wait to see everyone again. We don't know about you, but we are so ready to get back to class and regular Bible Study!! You will be hearing more instructions on that soon.
In the meantime, I wanted to share some amazing truths from God that I have been feeding myself during our absence this summer. I love this from today!
THIS IN NOT MY CREATION. This blog was shared with me by a friend and I hop over every now and then to glean some spiritual food for the day. This came from Lina Abujamira, "Living with Power." Hope that you take hold of this - and if need be go ahead and print it off and stick it on your fridge, your mirror, on the wall by your toilet - whatever it takes, ladies! :)
Have a blessed day living these truths/beliefs out in your life....
Every Christian’s Creed
I am Chosen.
Called by God.
Created for a purpose.
Crafted by the potter.
Captivated by Christ’s love.
No longer captive to sin.
Crucified to the flesh.
Convicted by the Spirit.
Held by His Covenant.
Crowned by His glory.
Covered with His blood.
Convinced by hope.
Content in being.
Consumed by the Cross.
Conformed to His image.
Confessing His name.
Casting my cares on Him.
Changed by His grace.
Comforted by His presence.
Committed for eternity.
Complete in Him.
Cleansed by His crimson cloak
Caught in His arms.
Carried through the fire.
I am chosen.
By the Constant One.
Thank you Gail for the fresh post. I am so excited for the fall study. Ladies, I was so moved when we reviewed the tape this morning. I just know it will speak to the heart of every woman. Can we hurry up and start now? See you all very soon.
