Summer is Here, Are You Ready?

We just observed Memorial Day, in addition to pausing to honor those who served to protect our freedom, it is also the unofficial start to summer.  If the temperatures are any indication of summer, it may be a hot one.

As you know, we are studying Psalm 119 during the summer months.  It is a chapter that is full of challenging and encouraging verses.  We have also noticed a sharp decline in attendance over the past several weeks.  May marks the end of school and the beginning of summer.  Please take a moment to let us know about plans that you have for the summer, do you plan to attend class during the summer or will you be out until fall?

Many of us have signed up to assist in the children's department on Wednesday evening to give the ladies a break over the summer.  If you have forgotten the week you signed up for please contact the office and Tammy will be glad to let you know what week you signed up for.  Thank you to all who agreed to participate.

I love summer, I tend to look forward to sitting in my backyard in the gazebo sipping tea and actually having an interrupted conversation with my husband.  For me uninterrupted conversations are a rare thing.  I am reminded in Colossians 3:17 ....and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  I know we all know just because we lay back and take a break from life, we must not neglect our time with Him.  Whatever you do this summer, where ever the days take you remember to live a life pleasing to Him and filled with gratitude for the blessings and yes even the challenges, knowing He is with you today and always.

The passages for tonight are Psalm 119:49-56.  Have a blessed day friends!!!

  1. I plan to attend the classes on Wed. thru the summer. I volunteered to work in the nursery but we didn't pick a date. Have Tammy let me know when I will be doing that if you can.
