Good afternoon friends. All of you are on my mind this afternoon. It has been a wild, stressful and bad week for many of you. Please remember Kim Steiner as she continues to battle complications from her recent surgery. Beverly Davis is having a rough time related to her second treatment. Tammy is very close to losing her brother, Carl, who has had a very long and brave battle with cancer. I know many are you in the process of adjusting to huge life changes in your family. We have witnessed unspeakable weather disasters across the midwest. These are serious situations that need our prayerful attention.
Praise the LORD that none of these situations comes as a shock to God, He is not unprepared to walk along side each person as they continue through whatever process they are dealing with. Suffering will come and go throughout our lives. But as long as we are "right" with God, we an be at peace, regardless of the circumstances. Remember peace is not a false sense of courage or denial of your circumstances but it can be a calm presence, knowing God is your refuge and safe place. There are not words that will comfort each of you except that which is found in His Word. I urge you to stay focused on the Word, stay in the Word and share the Word with one another.
My scripture that I am working on speaks mighty hope to me, I pray it does to you as well.
He (Marilyn) who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I (Marilyn) will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I (Marilyn) trust." Psalm 91:1&2.
May you know His strong and mighty touch today. Excited to see you all on Wednesday. You are a blessing to me, and I thank God for you.
Marilyn
