Good Saturday evening ladies. I just finished preparing for class a few minutes ago. I so enjoyed the 3rd and 4th chapter. If you have not yet received your book please come to class anyway, do not think about not attending, you will still get the principals of the book and you will be able to catch up quickly.
I am blessed by being loved by God. I treasure the fact that I am (not hoping I am) but I am justified in Christ, chosen and love ed by God. If you haven't read your chapters yet, that won't make much since to you, but it will after you read the book.
My prayer for each of you is that you will let the truth of the Word wash over you in the minutes, hours and days ahead. We have to grasp this concept. I can tell you, my life was a mess of theology prior to learning this truth year ago. My prayer is you will walk in it's freedom.
Please be prepared to share a scripture that speaks to your heart about the love of God. Write it in your scripture index cards. Bring those with you Wednesday.
I am so challenged and energized by our Father, I look forward to being with you all on Wednesday.

Because of the holiday week and me being on vacation, I have been slack on my memory verse and I'm still working on Romans 8:28 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose." I am on chapter 4 of the book and should be done before Wednesday. Jeanie

ReplyDeleteI am still working on memorizing Colossians 3. I finally have verses 1-11 memorized and I am now focusing on verse 12 as we study our book. I'm always amazed at God's perfect timing. As I have been consumed with Colossians 3 and trying to let it penetrate my life, along comes this book study that is exactly what God is trying to teach me. Isn't God good?? Thank you Lord for loving me enough to pursue me.....

I am excited to hear what God is going to teach me through our lesson on Wednesday. I am focusing on the scriptures from chapter 2 in our book.
ReplyDeleteAnn, I believe that God is wanting to teach all of us women these truths. I am so excited.
As I had the bible open to Colossians a lot this week, I went back and read Col chapter 1 and 2 and there is some good stuff in there! Chapter 1&2 give background of how Supreme Christ is, in all of His Power, and grace and mercy. Understanding even more WHO HE is, makes it that much more humbling to know how much He loves us!
