Monday

Monday is here again, but we should all be able to come to our group with at least one verse! Practice saying AND living out Col. 3:12 because we will be saying it at the beginning of each class.

I do not know about you, but I have not been able to let go of the truth that God chose ME. What a wonderful place just to rest. So many time in life, we may struggle with trying to fit in, or being perfect, smart, pretty, funny, all to gain acceptance by others. It is exhausting and leads to a feeling of defeat because we will always fall short in some way or another. I love that on  page 31 she writes, "God understands our innate need to be chosen." Yes, because God created us He also knows us. That brings me comfort. Don't miss the intimate character of our God.  You may feel that no one else understands your deep longing to be chosen by someone special to love you.  You may feel rejected over and over again in your life. I encourage you to block out the rest of the world and its messages and  let the word of God be the only voice your heart hears.  Do not live by feelings alone, but live by the truth of God's personal words to you. It is a battle!

Because we seem to always be pressed for time, we will try to have class early beginning at 5:45. We will use that time to spend talking about our week and going over prayer requests, then we will begin our lesson right at 6:00. Those of you who have children, we are still trying to figure out childcare. If you cannot get there until 6:00, please do not stress; you will not miss any of the lesson.

Study to show yourself approved unto God. His rewards are more than you can imagine.
