Monday Morning Check - In

Isaiah 26:3-4 "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal." Do you have perfect peace today? That is a beautiful scripture that gives great hope to the reader. I want you take this scripture, break it down phrase by phrase and see if you gain a new understanding.

It is Monday and you need to check in with your memory verse. I also want to hear from you about what opportunities God presented to you for "instant" forgiveness. I received word from one of you about an incredible opportunity. God is so awesome, He love us so very much and watches out for us. It is so much better to look at a situation, raise your arms to God and say, "Father, take this from me, it is not for me to settle the score. I want to forgive, teach me how."

Please remember Tammy your prayers as she and her family says goodbye to her brother's earthly tent. He is a believer and she knows she will see him again one day. Pray also for Beverly, she has had an incredible week medically. There are several others in our group who are facing challenges, some new ones, some ongoing. Lift them to the LORD.

Welcome back home to Gail. We missed you and trust your vacation time was a refreshing journey for you.

See you on Wednesday, come prepared to hear from God. Read chapter 8 and be prepared to share. Marilyn

  1. I am very slow to learn my scriptures. I am working on two - Psalm 145:8 - God is all mercy and grace - not quick to anger, is rich in love - I've been working on this for months.
I'm also working on Galations 2:20 - I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

I am up against some financial problems that I really need God's help with. Please pray for me that he will help me out of this mess - I thought I was getting us out of a mess and now it seems like I might have gotten us further in - I wish I could have taken the Dave Ramsey course when I signed up for it last year - but my brother passed and I was in FL for several weeks - thanks Cathy

  2. I am working on Colossians 3:12,13. I am finding it difficult to have a consistent daily quiet time. It is very sporadic. Please pray that I can get into a routine again. Also please pray that Brian will find a new job. It is very hard to find a job or at least one that pays enough to meet the basic, necessary expenses.

Marilyn, Isaiah 26:3 is one of the verses that I have memorized since taking this class. God had me rest in this verse and several others on peace for awhile. It really is amazing when we truly focus on God and give all of our worries, concerns, troubles, hurts to him. He is faithful to take those things and we have a peace that does not make sense to the world. My life over the past two and a half years has been like a tornado, constantly swirling around me but as I have trained my mind to focus on Christ and give Him all of my troubles, there is a peace that sustains me. Life is still chaotic and swirling like a tornado but I can honestly rest knowing that God has it all under control. His word is so very true!!!!!

    See ya all Wednesday!!!

  3. Cathy, I am sure you can re-take the Dave Ramsey course. Please talk with Scott and Dian about it. I know how stressful finances can be. Don't focus on the problem look to God for the resolve. Easier said than done some days but He really is sufficient for all of our needs. Praying for you.

Brandy, Thank you for your comments of how much Isaiah has ministered to you. Praying for you and your family.

Ladies, pray for these requests as we seek answers together. Marilyn

  4. I just got this on my computer. I posted my Monday post as a comment on the post from last Thursday since I didn't see this one. Please look at that comment and pretend it is my Monday check-in.....which it was, just on the wrong day. Sometimes I'm really goofy. :-/
