Good afternoon friends! Are you ready for tonight? Laura Tungett will lead our group tonight. We are discussing chapters 10 and 11 on Kindness and Humility. Kelly talks about the floods that hit in Nashville some months ago. I was in Nashville in June and the aftermath of the flood still remain with the people. Many businesses still remained closed while repairs are being done while others are closed for good. It was during those floods that many people who as Kelly states, did not have kindness as a basic disposition from birth. She allows us to recognize that again, God is constantly transforming and teaching us about the virtues through scripture while giving us the Holy Spirit to work them out in our lives.
Lord have mercy, are we ready for a lesson on humility? That brings about all kinds of thoughts in my mind. The very title, "Everything Must Die (To Rise Again), is a bit daunting. I will give you a hint, it involves obedience and is a "journey".
