Chapter 2 Not 3

Good morning friends! I enjoyed our time together so much last night. I appreciate your participation during our time together. I told some of you that we were going to read chapter 3, that was incorrect, we will be reading and discussing chapter 2 next week. Chapter 2 deals with Fear of Rejection, Abandonment, and Betrayal. Many deal with these fears on various levels. Our biblical personalities for this chapter will be Rachel, Leah and Jacob.

As we prepare for class this week, let's agree together to make a earnest effort to begin or take our scripture memorization to a new level. If you are currently working on a passage write it out, say it to yourself and God. If you have not picked out a scripture yet, please do so and get started. We can do it, remember the challenge of a 16 year old girl who is memorizing scripture in case she does not have access to a Bible, thank you Bethany for a challenge to me and the other "older women" in your life circle. "Older women.........teach what is good, and so train the young women".

I love the diversity of ages in our group, and the fact that we are all older than someone. Mallorie is probably our youngest group member but she is still older than other young girls who look up to her. In other words we can all fulfill the Titus 2 example.

I heard from Beverly this morning and I wanted to let you know her surgery has been postponed. She does not have a new date at this time. Please remember Corby and family in your prayers, Monday marks the anniversary of her sisters home going.

One more really fun thing. I shared last night that Angie Smith had been on a television program this week. After watching it I made contact with her and received the standard auto reply, which I expected. Last night after class I got home and was surprised to find a personal message from her waiting for me in my email. She sends blessing to everyone. Enjoy the book, look for surprises from God along the way and rejoice always in the LORD.

Gail is going to post later this week, watch for it.

  1. I will be praying for you and the class tomorrow. I LOVED chapter 2 - to spoke volumes to me!!! I want to be in class to hear from others concerning this chapter, so maybe we can do a follow-up from the class on the blog so that I can see how God spoke to others...just a thought.
    Thanks, Marilyn.
