Post from Marilyn and Monday Check-In

I, Gail, felt that Marilyn's message to us deserved "front page" and I wanted to make sure all of you would get to read this. She posted in last week's comments so unless you clicked on comments you would not know that the message from her is there. HOPE you don't mind Marilyn!!

Today is our accountability time so please check in with your memory work.
I want to thank Sarah Jane, too, for sharing with us last week. I hated that I was not there, but I know that you were challenged by the word of God!

This week we will be looking at "Do we live as if we are loved?"  This will be an introduction before our summer study "The Fitting Room" from Col. 3:12. I will be sharing some of my personal testimony so pray for me.

You will be getting your book this week also, so please try to be there OR come by the office for pickup. I will check with Marilyn for price before I give you a quote!

Oh, by the way, Marilyn is now nestled in a cabin deep in some woods so I think she has allowed herself to see God's creation and to experience some quiet times with the Lord (minus grandchildren of course! Ha!).

See you Wednesday.
Gail

Hello friends,

I am sitting here typing this listening to the roll of the ocean outside my window. I am about 50 feet from the waves. I have seen and experienced things on this trip that I have never experienced before. The ocean is a marvel to me. I am not a water girl, but no one could ever dream this view up. God is so awesome. On Monday as we traveled through the Smokey Mountains on our way to Jen's house I could not believe the sights my eyes were privileged to see. Only God could do what I saw. I cannot not help but think about God creating it and "it was good". I have done a great amount of thinking on this trip. You know God loves us so much that He created this world and it's beauty for us. It has been so very long since Tom and I have had a vacation, that is something we will be correcting from this day forward. It makes me realize just how easy it is for us to be focused on our own world that we miss the things around us. I am a greenhorn, but I never knew the ocean was so noisy. We have 25 mile and hour or more wind most days, 5 foot sea surges and humidity like I have never experienced before. Sorry ladies, I have rambled but this place is amazing. Keep on working on your memory verses and get ready to study one wonderful book in July. Love you all, looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks. Thank you Sarah Jane for you leading on Wednesday. Have a wonderful week as you look to God for His direction. Marilyn

  5. Again I am on here on Wednesday and not Monday. I am still working on Isaiah 41:9, 10. God has really used this verse to speak to me. I am close to having it completely memorized.

    Marilyn,
I am so glad that you are experiencing God's wonderful creation. You are correct that no one can truly grasp the awesomeness of the ocean or the mountains. They are truly incredible! I am also thrilled that you and Tom are able to enjoy such a wonderful vacation.

  6. I didn't see a place to check in for this week. I am continuing to work on Isaiah 41:9, 10. I am really close to completing it. I have read the first two chapters of the book and I agree that it should be a really good study.
