Good Morning. If you are reading this on Tuesday morning enjoy the beautiful day and remember that ALL good gifts come from God.
I wanted to share my latest memory verse with you this morning.
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." Psalm 28:7
I long to be a wife, mother and woman of strength, don't you?
There are a few key points to this verse:
~ "The LORD IS my strength." Not me? I've been asking God to show me exactly what that means. I'll write a whole different post on what I am learning.
~God is my shield! Wow. I need that because sometimes in life I feel like the arrows of the enemy are flying at me faster than I can find a rock to hide behind! Seriously. Thankfully, I am not in one of those seasons right now in my life. Yet, even now, in the peaceful rest, I need to be reminded that God is the one to give me the strength for anything and everything I may face, and He will shield me from anything that He desires to protect me from. He promises to help me. Did you catch that? Please do not skim over the powerful words from our Lord. He is my helper. I am not alone.
~My heart trusts. I don't always trust. The way I live my day reveals the level of my trust.
~Benefits: I experience joy and thanksgiving.
Can you imagine a wide open field with tall grass blowing in the wind? Imagine a girl skipping and leaping with a carefree heart picking beautiful daisies to stick in her hair. A song is flowing forth from her lips, and its music is like a beautiful angel. There may be a hawk flying above her head, bees buzzing around her ankles and a snake curled up by a log. Yet, she is free to embrace the beauty of life around her because she is not worried or fearful of any danger. In the shadow of a large oak tree rests her father. She knows he is there. His presence brings her peace. JOY and SINGING flow from her heart. She TRUSTS him.
Where are you today? Is your heart trusting a God of strength? Is your heart leaping with joy and is a song coming forth from your lips? He is worthy of our trust and our praise!
Love each of you.
What a beautiful picture you painted to make application of what that verse means. "His presence brings her peace." Our trust brings joy to the Father's heart.
