The Heavens declare His Glory

The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies
proclaim the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech
or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into all the earth, their
words to the ends of the world.
Psalm 19:1-4

THIS is why we are called to worship Him. I am praying for each of us that we will not go throughout our day and miss God. He is the King of Kings, the Alpha and Omega, the one who was and is and is to come.

This world will pull us in every direction EXCEPT to our Lord. We must be intentional about seeking God. THE God. Our Lord who gives us everything we need - that includes encouragement; strength, power; knowledge; wisdom; we lack nothing through Christ. I (Gail) needed to be reminded of that today.

Share with me how you are intentionally seeking God this week.

Remember also to look for those "thousand gifts" that the God of creation has given to us.  My list is growing and I pray yours is, too.

  1. I have reading the book of John leading up to Easter. Reading it every day asking God to show me something new so that I do not take His word for granted. It has humbled me. I have also intentionally worked on looking for gifts from God EACH DAY. This is a wonderful discipline to "renew" my mind; Goes along with Ann's scripture memory. I choose what I will focus my mind on, and when I look for God, I always find Him. Sometimes in the smallest of ways. Other times like roaring thunder.

  2. The idea of looking for the gifts from God each day has been refreshing. Far too often, I find myself distracted to bother noticing the innumerable fingerprints of God. I have been striving to look for God in the littlest of things. From my child's laughter to the unfolding of vibrant green leaves, GOD displays His glory.

  3. Gail, I needed to be reminded of the passage you shared. I must confess, my head has been down and focused on the task at hand. Thank you for helping me focus on the gifts of God. May the Glory of the LORD be our guide today.
