What a Blessed Peace

What a blessed peace there is in knowing God is in control. Even when the world seems to be upside down and every wall seems to be pressing in on us, God assures us He is ever mindful of our situation. These are not just flowery words that sound good to those who are not suffering. These are words that can and do make a difference in our lives when we are in the throws of turmoil and real life.

I am reminded that God did not ever nor does He now promise us a life without struggle. He did however, promise to be with us, to never leave or forsake us. As Gail presented to us a couple of weeks ago, we are to live a life of thankfulness, which will produce joy. Not giddiness, but true joy. I read in Psalm 100 today, "Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."

This tells me I am to shout, worship, know that the LORD is God, enter His courts with thanksgiving and praise, give thanks and praise his name. He is good, his love endures forever, he is faithful today and continues to all generations. WOW!!! Don't you feel like shouting for joy? I do. Join me today as we shout to the LORD and worship him as GOD creator, LORD of all. May your heart burst with thanksgiving today.

I trust you have read Exodus 3 every day this week and have allowed the truth of scripture sink deep in your spirit.

For me this is a new day with new promises, I trust it will for you as well. See you Wednesday.

  1. I have been working on Phil. 4:13 and I have the verse memorized but I keep forgetting the reference so I'll continue to work on this.

My verse for this week is Psalm 62:5 - "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him."

How I long to find rest in God alone instead of myself or others or things which all will fail without God first in my life.

  2. Good work, Jean. I am really proud at how hard you are working on your scripture. God will shine His face upon you.
